I do agree that MerleFest is over priced. I go to many 'Fest", mostly blues festivals but for the quality big names you get, MerleFest has been overpriced. It may not be your genre, but one that everyone has heard of and is coming soon, use Carolina Rebellion for comparison. You get many more bigger names for the price. Blues festivals, if you go to the big ones, you get the most bang for your buck. Top of the line artist by the boat load for the same price level as MerleFest. I go to most MerleFest, because its local and I do enjoy the music but it has been overpriced most years, as the talented bigger names generally arent there.

When I talk about something to do, I am talking about something interesting to do. Merlefeat is not worth $200+ for a weekend. It should be free to enter and I could chose what to spend money on once I am there.
