average kuerig machine cost $100.00(ish) vs 10@ http://www.costco.com/Folge....html ; 2400 cups @3 cups a day= 800 days=2.1 yrs.
i would look long and hard at a kuerig machine and then not buy it,
i aint even gonna mention the almost $0.50 per k-cup.
soak a dirty sock in hot water and drink it i think it should taste about the same

I use my grind n brew.

I set it at night, and it grinds the beans the next morning...Can't get any fresher.

I thought you liked the bump and grind?

but in the Keurig my favorite is Paul Newman's Special Blend which is a medium roast.

Yep...totally agree. With a tad bit of Baily's Irish Crme creamer....and a tad bit of a lot of sugar ;) and I had to ditch the reusable cups because I think they were clogging my Keurig.

I have a French press as well. It sure came in handy when the power went out.

Love my Keurig!!!! I use the reuseable pod and the k-cups and don't have a problem at all with bitterness. I enjoy all levels of roasted coffee from the light to the dark. An when I find the k-cups on sale I will by them whether they be Foldgers, Maxwell House or Dunkin.

Then again I do have a Mr Coffee in my house as well that mother uses every day.

I've wanted one but think it will be too expensive with three people drinking coffee.

A dash or two of salt in your coffee cup prior to making your coffee will knock off the bitter taste in most coffees. Forget about all the other K cups coffee brands and buy you some Folgers Black Silk in the K cups.
It's a dark roast and makes a great tasting cup of coffee.

I love my Keurig, have had it for several years.

IDK! All I want is the cleaning lady to leave my Mr. Coffee alone!

Have you tried different coffees? I have always been a dark roast drinker, but in the Keurig my favorite is Paul Newman's Special Blend which is a medium roast.

I'll just hire my own personal barista if it means all that.

No temperature adjustment is required. The coffee in the k-cups are ground a bit too fine to begin with. Most coffee sold in bulk is too fine for a Keurig unless you have it custom ground. To counter the bitterness from the coffee, throw in just a small pinch of salt in with the water when brewing. The chemical reaction between the salt and the caffeine causes the caffeine content in the final product to drop, reducing if not totally eliminating bitterness. You will not taste any saltiness in the final product either. Fine ground coffee when brewed allows for more caffeine to be extracted from the grounds, resulting in bitterness.

Unfortunately, most of my clients are the parents of your clients. My clients little dogs have cataracts and regular insulin injections

Seriously, when did diabetes in dogs become such a problem? My dog eats its own crap and chews on the grass when he's sick. Where does the blood sugar level become a problem?

Of course, my dog is a bas**rd instead of pure bred with genetic inbreeding.

One thing that drives me insane is when I meet with clients who are sporting the overpriced, cafe', ole', frappuccino mocha latte' whatever. I mean, can we not meet, professionally, for one hour without your overglorified coffee? Is there anything even in the cup? It reminds me of people who carry dogs in handbags. Seriously...
