LOL! True! I am certain that momma is a very nice person that keeps her bigoted, h*mophobic, racist beliefs on the forum and with the exception of extreme h*mophobia, keeps them from her children. Of course, all we have to make that judgement is the persona she projects here. Maybe she is really loving in person.

Cajahah, I feel sure that we won't be agreeing on a lot. Ever. But, I'm a pretty strong person and I'm raising some pretty strong kids. I personally don't try to keep my kids away from everyone that I don't agree with. I think that's actually a pretty "small world view" to try and do so. I want to raise strong enough kids that their beliefs aren't going to change based on who they talk to or who they are around.
But, do I want a violent child molester at my daughter's softball game, basketball game or watching her cheer? Uh no.

I still think Bestill just needs to reread the link. The inability to go to the school functions wouldn't be hampered if this was a prostitute or a non-violent sexual offender with a victim over the age of 16. It pertains to a violent sexual offender or an offender with a victim under the age of 16.

Cajahah, if a "small world view" meant that someone told my child that the earth is only 6,000 years old, then I agree with you.
However, I wouldn't just stop with changing Sunday School teachers......I would change churches......immediately and permanently.
That would (or could) be handicapping to a child.

To me, that would mean that mommo (or ANY Sunday School teacher) would believe, and tell children, that the earth is only about 6,000 years old. I would straighten that out as soon as we got home.....unless a child of mine spoke up and challenged the S.S. teacher on the spot.
Pouring religious guilt on would be something else I wouldn't tolerate....from anybody.
I mean, fair is fair. mommo has said nothing that would make me think she shouldn't be around children.
