The snow is very pretty in Boone. Too warm in Wilkes. Models trended a few degrees to warm to support more than a cold rain. There is a only a very slight chance rain may mix with frozen precip before lunch time....and a very slight chance of snow showers late tonight into tomorrow morning from a different disturbance.

EWHS2012 you are losing your touch. Where is the snow!

Tuesday has rain and 37 degrees. So there's not even a slim chance of snow or ice.

Wednesday has a high of 42 and a low of 31, with an 80% chance of rain. Even if there's snow mixed with the rain after dark (which isn't in the forecast), it will be too warm for it to accumulate.

Thursday, 46 degrees and sunny skies.

Sorry, but there's just no real chance of snow.

Overnight models came in a few degrees warmer...which would cut totals in half for everyone. We still have 48 hours to monitor the trends. Any big wet flakes near thanksgiving is a bonus this time of year. Still looks highly probable to at least see it fall in the foothills and mountains. Stay tuned. Enjoy your warm day!

It's going to do what it wants to do and there's nothing we can do about what the weather is going to do.
