Monday, Nov. 19, 2018

Monday, November 19, 2018 at 5:30 pm French author and tour guide Francois Gauthron will share his expertise about the World War II European Theater, especially Normandy and the French coast. He is visiting America and Wilkes County and will speak about his family's war experiences, including his mother’s liberation by U.S. forces following D-Day. His book, Colors of War: Not Black and White but Nuances of Gray, was published in March 2018. In celebrating veterans during November, the Library and the Friends of the Wilkes County Library offer this opportunity to visit with Monsieur Gauthron. This free, public event includes a question-and-answer session.
