Celebration of Juneteenth, National DJ Month and African American Music Heritage

Saturday June 17, 2023 at 11:30am at the Wilkes Heritage Museum auditorium; Effley D. Howell, Sr., Founder and CEO of Thankful Heritage Museum will present a program about Juneteenth. Effley Howell will also have an exhibit from the Thankful Heritage Museum on display. At 2:00pm at the Wilkes Heritage Museum auditorium Milton “DJ Deacon” Cockerham will be celebrating National DJ Month and African American Music Heritage Month. Please come help us celebrate by spend the day learning about Juneteenth, listening to good music, and dancing to the beat. These programs are free to the public of all ages.
