Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 pm, the Library will have a Great American Read Celebration. We are celebrating the best loved novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, which won the online voting contest nationally and in the Appalachian Regional Library. We are also celebrating the "The Outlander Series" by Diana Gabaldon, which won first place in North Carolina and second place overall nationally. To celebrate we will have snacks, drinks, door prizes, and chances to comment on your favorite books. We will be showing the movie "To Kill a Mockingbird,” which stars Gregory Peck. Everyone of all ages is welcome for this free event to celebrate reading.
