Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm the Library will remember African American Pioneers of Wilkes. Joe Thomas, owner of Thomas Brothers Meat Processing; Marion Cowles, owner of Flight of Elegance and Kenneth Turner, of Lowe’s Company will speak of their experiences as African Americans of Wilkes in business. Jackie Chapman and Craig Tidline will present musical selections for the program. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be furnished.
