Where's all this trash? I think our highways are pretty darn clean.If you want to see trash you need to go up north around N.Y. way. Not to mention graffiti covered buildings and potholes that could swallow a semi.No offense but it seems some of you local folks here don't realize how beautiful it is here. I'm here 25 years and I love it here. It just amazes me how many people trash Wilkes county.Just sayin.....

Just love all the trash along the highways. If the criminals can’t be used, then up their time for doing the crime. Bring back the chain gangs. A little hard labor might change their mind about being a full time criminal.

Ugly? I think it's beautiful since its four-laning; true, there's more traffic than ever, but that's to be expected when you convert a two-lane country road into a four-lane, interstate-standard superhighway.

why not put a little money in making it truly dedicated to the armed forces? no money into plants or flags? everytime an outsider comes the first thing they say is deforestation up ahead out of yadkin......and nothing but the sign that says the highway is dedicated. need more people to request funding from our local politicians and dot......something has got to be done......
