****erSpaniel: Yes, we did notice an increase: Those weirdoes @ the tax office appraised our hacienda @ ten-grand, and the lot across the road @ twelve-grand, despite the fact that only trees reside in said lot.

If you're disabled or 65 or older and have income below a certain limit, you can fill out paperwork to lower the tax bill on your home.
