I don't know many christians that are happy. Actually I do. They go to kore progressive churches that don't spill hatred from the pulpit like ao many churches around here do.

Bestill, I came to that opinion through observation over many decades in a number of diverse settings and disciplines.

Happy people believe in something that transcends their experience and capabilities. People who refuse to entertain any idea beyond the material world tend toward frustration.

But, that's just my observation. I am glad you found the people I overlooked.

sparky, not sure how you came to that opinion, but tons of non believers lead happy and fulling lives. Trust me, I am a Buddhist. And I am not alone. A person's belief in a god, or no god, is not a happiness indicator.

Also, do not demean folks just on account of their Faith.

I've known a lot of folk who claimed atheism or agnosticism.

I've never known an atheist or agnostic who was happy.
