Jesus the Lord God couldn't take back the words he spoke to the Israelites. Period... The Lord God could ONLY take back what he told Moses to tell the Israelites. Period.,.

John 5:17-30
King James Version
17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of ****ation.

30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Jesus was crucified to take back all that Moses told the Israelites. One thing that Jesus couldn't take back was the Covenant that God made.

Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus
24 Then Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?

JESUS brought into the world what sin is for the Father. If you can't obey the Father you won't follow Jesus.

Jesus brought the old law and those 10 commandments to the cross with him.

It never ceases to amaze me how a person can be so wrong about so many things, M. I am starting to think you are just making things up as you go along.

It would help if you kept reading just a little further in John chapter 1 instead of stopping after the first verse. Verse 14 says "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth." Did the Holy Spirit become "flesh?" Did John the Baptist say "This was He of whom I said, He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.'" (John 1:15 NASB) about the Holy Spirit? The "Word" John was writing about was Christ.

In John 15:26 Jesus promises to send the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. That' is how one receives the Spirit. The Spirit is not merely words spoken by God. Like your search of Jesus's fabled command, about the "ten Commandments", your search for a verse to add substance to your mistaken belief will be in vain.

Odd how you left out the verses where Jesus said that He had come to "Fulfill" the law and the Prophets and that when "all is accomplished" the Law wouldn't matter. It would be hard to argue that His death and resurrection didn't "accomplish it all" wouldn't it?

Even in the heated desperation of cherry picking verses you can't find one that records Jesus saying "Keep the Ten Commandments'" or "It is a sin to break the Ten Commandments.'"

Matthew 5:19
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven

Bitter. The Holy Spirit is the word that's he has spoken. Why do you make it hard on yourself. If you don't hear his words how do you receive his Spirit?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God

M, I hope that you have a good day job because you are no theologian. If the Holy Spirit is God's words why did Jesus refer to Him as a person?

I am not to be considered an expert but should a person who cannot tell the difference between the word "commandment" and "ten commandments" really try to tackle pneumatology?

I have a few guesses as to what sin is-- Lying about what Jesus said is probably a sin since Jesus says that giving false witness is a sin (Matthew 15:19) Accusing others of things of which one has no proof is probably a sin since too, since Jesus said that slander is a sin (Matthew 15:19)

Want me to keep listing what Jesus said are sins?

Want to know what He didn't say was a sin? "Failing to keep the 'Ten Commandments.'"

Bitter .. was you baptized unto the Father SON and HOLY Spirit? If you were why don't you do as they say. The Father says to OBEY His Voice. Jesus said those that keeps his word will never see death. And the Holy Spirit is the word of God. So you should do them because they are Spirit.

mhj

You have knowledge of what sin is. Now it's up to you. Do you believe that Jesus can take away the sins you bear and reward you with eternal Life? IF you obey his teaching.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.

23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

( Whose Commandment is Life. THE FATHER. COMMANDMENT ARE LIFE EVERLASTING,??? ) WHAT IS HIS COMMANDMENT ????
THE -----TEN--- COMMANDMENT ARE HIS COMMANDMENT ---:

whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the FATHER SAID unto me, so I speak
