Spitfire is correct, It is definitely a wild muscadine vine, They are plentiful in this area, Some produce fruit some don't,

Both bumping and asking a related question... anybody know what this vine is?


It's in a mostly shaded area, and has come back for a few years without taking over. I know that I planted some coral bells in this area a few years back and thought it was those, but it's not; this is a vine.

What I can't decide is if it would be pretty if moved to a different location, maybe with something to climb.

Pop to the top... if there's not one, maybe we should make one.

I have about 50 bulbs for purple irises, a ton of mondo grass and Anne Marie ivy. I'm about to top my Autumn Joy sedum, too, so I'll have 20+ cuttings that can be planted. I hate to just throw it all in the woods, but I'm running out of places to put them!

Does your moon flower come back every year? The pictures I've seen are very pretty, but I thought they wouldn't last through our winter.

Didn't there used to be a gardening exchange club in Wilkes? I have a lot of excess perennials that I would love to trade out for other types of flowers. Buying them at nurseries is pretty expensive, and I'm sure that there are other people out there that have a lot of excess and would like to trade around.
