Why doesn't Santa Claus have children?

He only comes once a year and that is down a chimney. <bows>

Interesting side story, there, Pollock... the story of Santa goes back to the 4th century, where the story of Mrs. Clause only goes back to 1849:

I can imagine that the conservatives of the world were pretty unhappy with that change in the legend... how dare they imply that a man can't do it by himself, and that he needs a mere woman to help him!

That article also led me to something I didn't know... there's a significant link to the earliest stories of Santa and the Norse God, Odin!

Setting the gender debate aside for a second, I also agree with the survey that maybe the legend should be less obese. There's little value in teaching children that a steady diet of cookies and candy canes is desirable, and that morbidly obese is synonymous with jolly and happy.

John Stamos could be Santa. Hallmark already has the rest of the full house stars in movies

That'd actually make a good Christmas movie! Hallmark has already tried just about every other Christmas story angle.

Mrs Claus could be a drag queen. That would explain their being able to tolerate living with all those elves. Kind of like a Christmas version of The Birdcage.

Maybe we should let Santa choose which gender he identifies as.

But I think it's obvious he's a man. How else do you explain Mrs. Clause in a pre-same-sex marriage world?

Wikipedia
Santa Claus is generally depicted as a portly, jolly, white-bearded man"sometimes with spectacles"wearing a red coat with white fur collar and cuffs, white-fur-cuffed red trousers, a red hat with white fur and black leather belt and boots and who carries a bag full of gifts for children. This image became popular in the United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of the 1823 poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas" and of caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast.[2][3][4] This image has been maintained and reinforced through song, radio, television, children's books, films, and advertising.

This link I gave earlier was specifically about Tolien elves:

Santa Ckaus is not universally viewed as an elf either.

Make up your mind now... before you said "traditionally," now you're saying "universally."

Traditionally, he's an elf:

He had a broad face and a little round belly
That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

Elves have gender. Didn’t you ever read Tolkien?

Elves are not androgynous

Leftists are obsessed with erasing any and all traditional distinctives.

As I showed before, tradition dictates that Santa is an elf, not a human.

And elves are androgynous and immortal.

Rightists are seemingly obsessed with applying sexuality to everything, and then forcing them to adhere to their definition of what's proper.

Ask some five year olds......bet they agree with me.

Maybe, but is that because they've been taught by their parents that longer hair and a dress means "female?"

It may be a form of self loathing.

For link 2... why assume that the one on the left is a male? It's wearing the same shoes as the one that you assume is a girl, are you saying that girls can't have short hair and wear pants?

And maybe the one on the right is a male with a mullet that's donald-ducking.

Without lifting them up and checking, you really just don't know...

Link 2...... Two boys, and the third one without pants and with longer hair is a girl.

Link 1, female with fake beard

Link 2, all males

Link 3, woman who has worked extremely hard to appear as a male but will always remain a woman trying to appear as a man.

You don’t generally need to see genitalia to form an opinion as to gender.

Male or female?

https://i5.walmartimages.co...nBg=FFFFFF

I guess you could argue that female elves have long hair while male elves have short hair? But that's pretty confusing since modern women have had short hair and modern men have had long hair for most of my life.

Tolkien elves are generally androgynous, but I'm not sure if that really applies to Santa and his elves:

Considering that the legend implies that they're immortal, I can't imagine that they have a need for reproduction or recreational sex. So again... no genitalia implies no genders.

Arguing over a mythical being.
That's like saying all unicorns are rainbow colored, we know that's not true because some are glitter.

I don't know if anybody is really taking this one too seriously, hangs, it's just all in good fun

Speaking of unicorns, though... nah, I'll make another thread...
