My statement is the basic idea behind America. The people control the government, not the government controlling the people. The difference between liberal and conservatives is liberals believe that government is there to help the people where as the conservatives believe the government is there to help them. Conservatives believe their beliefs and desires take priority over other people's needs. That is why conservatives are against all social programs. If a government is trying to create a level playing field then it will have to take from the haves in order to help the have nots. Conservatives are to greedy to support this.
