, it's time to pester our jester.

Hey jester,
do YOU agree that it takes 17 KWh of electricity AND 12 hours to fully charge a Volt plugged up to a standard 120 V connection?

AND

YOU have two options here; either provide a simple yes or no answer OR continue to run away from a polite conversation.

Fins, you position is not that far from my own. I agree, petroleum products are important and here to stay; I just hope that folks will continue to be vigilant about managing waste and pollution from the petroleum industry. Finding alternatives is a good idea, they'll never fully replace petroleum.

I also like the nuclear power generators, but I believe that more effort should be made to find a way to neutralize / utilize the waste.

No Johnboy, I accept it because we are STILL going to do it. The petroleum is still needed in virtually every manufacturing process from tanning leather to making the most advanced polymers. It's needed to mine the highly toxic metals for lithium batteries.

I accept nuclear because it's actually the cleanest and least dangerous option. It's also the only one that can fulfill our power needs.

LET'S SEE YOU TAKE OWNERSHIP OF YOUR FEELINGS.

Fakey

Hey dumbpire, YOU obviously don't know this but unless YOU take ownership of your feelings AND apply them posthaste it is impossible for YOU to participate in a polite discussion, especially one with great technical AND social import.

Hey jester, the point here is to resolve a common starting point for a discussion about charging EVs.

So, do YOU agree that it takes 17 KWh of electricity AND 12 hours to fully charge a Volt plugged up to a standard 120 V connection?

Jimbojolly

Let me emulate your MO faker.

Ok you studip worthless POS alt-rightie. What's your point here?

Jimbojolly

Posted 8:38 pm, 09/28/2022

Hey fakerConradSwept, after throwing around insults, you claim to want a discussion?

Fakey

Posted 7:48 pm, 09/28/2022

Hey zhitZ, Why are YOU either afraid or too tsudip to state a knowable fact?

For a point of reference AND departure, coulda we all agree that a Chevrolet Volt requires approximately 17 KWh of electricity to fully charge AND requires nearly 12 hours to do so plugged up to a standard 120 volt outlet.

Please feel free to argue these facts.

After going through a hurricane on a solar powered property it provides a freedom the grid doesn't.
