When you move and go to get your drivers license updated at the highway patrol office with your new address, they will update your voter registration at the same time for you. We did not have to do it ourselves. When we went to vote we were on the voter rolls in our new location already. So simple.

are you required to void your old voter registration?
You’re not permitted to vote in more than one place. When you register to vote in a new location, you’ll be asked for your previous address. Your new election office will send a cancellation form to your previous election office.

I recommend updating your status when you move. One time I moved across state lines and forgot to update. I was called for jury duty in my my old state and had to send my new status to get out of the jury duty.

If you have moved fewer than 30 days prior to the election, you are still qualified to vote in your prior polling place and may vote only there, even if you moved outside of your county.
If you have moved more than 30 days prior to the election, you need to vote at your new polling place.
Either way, you must update your address, either before or when you place your vote.

If you move to a different county in the same State can you go back to that county you registered to vote in and still vote without updating your new address?
