He's not one to back down from a debate, the democrats are running from the post now. Seems fishy.
If tmann isn't one to back down from a debate, why has he not responded to my post over 24 hours ago?
And why have all of the posts since then just been trolling and insulting instead of discussing the actual topic?
That looks an awful lot like "backing down from a debate" to me. And it appears to be the Trumpsters that have run from the thread, resorting only to childish insults.
Calling people names is a surefire way to know that you've lost the debate, and are just desperately trying to get the last word.

Foxy, that's a pretty weak strawman argument... we had more deaths from COVID last year than cancer!
That compares to around 30,000 annual flu-related deaths:
Surely you're not comparing 30,000 deaths to 800,000?
Here's a thought, though... why not wear a mask year round? If you did then you could not only save 800,000 COVID deaths, but another 30,000 flu deaths! Not to mention the increased economy from fewer sick days and fewer hospitalizations that don't actually result in death...
How many people have to die before you stop worrying about whether you're still cute in your mask?

I'm going to defend tmann here for a second... while his story is false, the sentiment is real. And it's a real problem.
I, too, have been to numerous public locations where the employees and customers aren't wearing a mask. It's rarely political, though... most people have absolutely no idea what's going on. What I've seen is that if the business requires a mask then customers will wear it... if they don't, they won't. They have no clue how prevention works, they're just doing what everyone else does.
Last year I went to lunch with a friend, and when we got in the parking lot I pulled out a clean mask to put it on. My friend says, "oh don't worry about that, they don't make you wear one here!" I was dumbfounded because this is an intelligent friend in a high risk group, but she still didn't understand the purpose. In her mind, it was just "some require it and some don't."
I was at a restaurant a few weeks ago where none of the wait staff were wearing masks. I clearly overhead one server telling another that her whole family had COVID, and she was grateful that she had been vaccinated. But she still wasn't wearing a mask... obviously, she had no clue that she could have been exposed and giving it to everyone else, even without showing any symptoms.
The point is that what tmann described is a very real thing... restaurants full of people that have absolutely no idea what's going on and no idea of how viruses or masks work, they're just sheepishly doing what everyone else does. And truly can't understand why others are upset about it.

Teeny Peen man starts a thread with a title "in Wilkesboro", then posts a story that he copied and pasted from that website with the Faces and the Books that we are not to mention, and then, states that it was not in Wilkesboro...even though the title of the thread says "in Wilkesboro", and THEN, proceeds to bail out when his story is blown?
Then, he is called a hero by Foxxy and Comerag?
Seems pretty stanard.
