Better Homes is great. They have a ton of choices.
I have never bought a mattress there, but Transit Damaged Freight up 421 is awesome for furniture, and they have mattresses.

I have to say, I switched from a $2500 Serta mattress to a $400 memory foam mattress from Kohls, and couldn't be happier! At first, it felt as hard as a rock and took some getting used to, but after a few days I realized that I'm sleeping better, and all of my stiff joints have gotten better.

You can get a 6" queen size memory foam mattress for less then $300.00 at Big Lots and Wal Mart. You won't find anything more comfortable.
