WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Forsyth Public Library was evacuated after staff found an unattended plastic bottle in the men’s bathroom on the main floor.

The plastic bottle was labeled as “Fortress Mass Gainer 40grams Protein”. Officials were not able to determine by looking at the bottle what was inside. Library management decided to evacuate approximately 100 people in the building.

The Winston-Salem Police Department's Hazardous Devices Unit responded to the scene. They quickly determined that the bottle and its contents were not hazardous. They found the bottle contained exactly what was labeled on the outside of the bottle.

The library reopened to the public after being evacuated for approximately an hour and a half.

There were no injuries associated with this event.
