But if a company or individual buys this property for the amount being discussed, there is no way the county can keep that appraisal amount high. So you could be talking about the county getting a third or less than the amount Lowes was paying in taxes. So that would be like 300 years to break even. So how about those 3 commissioners led by Greene?

Our sources said Vannoys was the fellers which got the bid on the new middle school in Ashe also. Ask them younguns how good that is going and such.

While Greene was signing a contract for a million dollar contract for building plans done by Vannoy Construction, his house was 2 months behind in mortgage payments.
Does that make you have confidence in our county leadership that a commissioner that votes to increase your taxes cannot pay his own bills? He does not have the financial responsibility in his own personal life to handle his affairs but he thinks he is capable of running the county's affairs? And speaking of affairs......Enough said!! What a total loser.

It is all the same thing. The guy is not capable of being honest. He had been married 3 times. He has committed adultery according to court records. He has been dishonest in his financial dealings. He has been involved in the killing of dogs during dogfights. He was arrested in NJ for being at a dogfight. Only a month ago he paid to have charges expunged. He has been an abusive father and husband according to court records. He has had 911 calls made on him here in Wilkes and in York, SC. He harassed his ex wife when a restraining order was in effect. He has had several court dealings in SC and is suppose to have one even tomorrow. He has had legal issues with his businesses. He got involved in bribery for trading votes for indecent photos at a dog show. How many businesses has he lost?
So you think this individual can make any decision that is not based on dishonesty, what he can get out of it, or who he can hurt?
He needs to resign immediately.

And even this is wrong because the building would not be worth the assessed value in 100 years. So it would take even longer than 106 years to break even.

Along with the other allegations about this individual, just consider what this guy has done to this county. He talked 2 other commissioners into signing a contract for a $22M for a 45,000 building. With interest, taxpayers will pay $32M. He had the opportunity to purchase the fully furnished Lowes facility with 50 acres of land and the facility is 10 times larger than what they are building for the amount of $7M.
He said he wanted the county to keep receiving the $300,000 a year in property tax on the property if it is owned by others instead of the county. You think he can do math? It will take 106 years to break even on that deal. $300,000 a year x 106 years = $32M according to my math. But I am not that great at math, either.
He has terrible judgment and he needs to resign immediately.
