Brace Yourself: The Wind And Electric Vehicle Bailouts Are Coming

Ford assured investors last week that its generous deal with the United Auto Workers wouldn't threaten its profitability. Maybe. The same can't be said of its electric vehicles, which lost $3.1 billion during the first nine months of this year.

Those losses will doubtless grow, and anyone who thinks Washington won't give automakers another bailout should think again. [emphasis, links added]

Last week Munich-based Siemens Energy, one of the world's top wind manufacturers, said the German government is prepared to extend as much as 16 billion (or $16.9 billion) in state guarantees to rescue it.
The government has invested too much politically and financially in renewables and electric vehicles to let the companies go bust.
I think it'll eventually be known as the greatest boondoggle in the history of governments.

There is no point in arguing. The earth is flat, space isn't real, and the entire US education system lies to us our whole lives. It takes time for people to see the truth. Either they will see it or they won't and there is no point in trying to convince others that call you crazy. It is what it is.

Ford Lost Over $62,000 For Every EV It Sold In Q3, Other Carmakers See Similar Losses

The bloodbath in Ford Motor Company's EV division continues. On Thursday, Ford reported an operating loss of $1.3 billion in its EV division during the third quarter. That translates into a loss of $62,016 for each of the 20,962 EVs it sold during the period.

That's a smaller loss than the company recorded in the second quarter when it lost $72,762 for each EV and the $66,446 it lost per EV during the first quarter.

I wonder did they send Joe a thank you note?

GOP Senators, Manchin Introduce Bill To Block Biden's Crackdown On Gas-Powered Cars

A coalition of 25 Senate Republicans joined by Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., are introducing legislation to block the Biden administration from moving forward with regulations targeting gas-powered car tailpipe emissions. The lawmakers, led by Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, and Sen. Pete Ricketts, R-Neb., are expected to introduce the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act later Thursday.

The legislation, if passed, would strike down the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) proposal unveiled earlier this year that would significantly tighten vehicle tailpipe emissions restrictions.
"Once again, the Biden administration's rulemaking process is being used to push a radical green agenda and pick winners and losers," Crapo said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "Americans deserve to have access to affordable, reliable vehicles fueled by American-made energy products.

We know Earth has been cooling very slowly since its creation ~3.5 billion years ago. There is no reason for that cooling to stop so we should know that the long term risk we humans face isn't with so-called global warming aka climate change.

Fifty years from now, possibly less, we are likely to be in another cooling cycle which will cause a loss of food production and a lot of people to die from starvation. Protection from the cold home heating, will be another day-to-day problem. Lots of people die when its cold.

Unless there is evidence to the contrary, it would be wise to focus resources on learning how to grow food in cold climates, develop cheap housing design to retain heat and energy systems that keep functioning in cold climates. Also, how to keep graising animals warm and fed in the cold?

What we try to predict today, it seems, excludes the "unknown" that comes from: earthquake, volcano and Earth impacted by a large asteriod. We have witnessed how many people die when an "unknown" strikes and there nothing we can do to prevent them. What we can do is avoid living in high risk areas and have resourses ready to help people when an "unknown" occurs.

Two degrees of warming and more CO2 would be good for us. But we need to stop listening to snake-oil-salesmen to realise that. Life is good for humans when it's warm.
