If we place generators in Wilkes ****, lose of power won't hurt us. We might get a radioactive clouds and rain but if you can shelter yourself for a month or 2, you will be ok.

"Unless someone just wants to kill people,"

I would think that is kind of their point...

Savannah River Site is closed, no use bombing it. Charleston Naval base is closed, no use bombing it. Not much going on at Oakridge either, no use bombing it. Unless someone just wants to kill people, there is no use bombing Charlotte, Atlanta, Columbia Winston -Salem or any of those other cities. Washington DC, Boston, Greensboro and NY might get bombed.

Target or not if a attack takes out the power grid it will be worse than lord of the flies in 2 or 3 days. No lights no food no fuel.

Also don't forget about Lake Norman, for one example just up the road....

Thought thread was about "Wilkes NC". Yet whatever, there's more in Charlotte than just people & buildings alone.... Research please...

With Charlotte being second only to New York City for banking institution centers and just down the road in (Oddly enough) Oak Ridge, NC is the Pine Needles storage facility, the largest natural gas storage facility on the East coast; makes Wilkes high on the collateral damage list.

WRONG, over the mountain not far is Oakridge, Tenn. It is the site of the Dept of Energy and DOD nuke labs.
It will be struck numerous times and the ensuing radiation cloud will cover NW NC.

Asheville, Knoxville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Columbia, Greenville/Spartanburg, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, RTP, Savannah River Site, and list goes on.

Once hit the ensuing fallout will render all of the surrounding areas for 100's of miles uninhabitable.

The east coast is burnt toast.

Charlotte wouldn't be much of a target either. Charlotte is made up of mostly poor black people. Mooresville would be a much better target.
