I would say the biggest thing is not that many people wants small homes. Everyone wants big home that out does the Jones.

What is preventing them? The only thing I see in the zoning ordinances is a minimum lot size.

LOL, You live in this county and you don't know how it works? In this county it is who you know. If you have the right connection, you can do pretty much what you want.

It must be redneck, but since you're concerned with it then call and ask how people with campers can get septic along with electrical and water hook up for their camper on their own private property. All I know is it must not be illegal since it's being done.

Call the county planning department and ask if it's legal.

Interesting, I do know the ones I know are on private land had septic tanks put in. You got to have that inspected by the county health department but what do I know. I say if you want you could do the same thing no need for a petition.

Yes you can. Unless the property is deed restricted or it's located inside a zoned municipality. However you must follow health department and septic guidelines.

Um, can you not do that already? I see many people living in campers now on private property. Heck just drive up airport road and there's one already that's been there for years.
