Cool man. I'm happy for you both!

You do not have to be concerned about me. I am great, happily married, set for life.

He/she is psychobabble at this point. I'm concerned about "Old Lady." Anyone else?

It is sure not worth it. My parents rented a house. You know what the renter kept inside without their knowledge? A goat. Can you just imagine what he was doing with a goat in a house? Sick.

Never, ever would I rent to someone.

I like making money as much as the next person but renting and putting up with the headache just ain't worth it. I despise all the lying and excuse making plus it is tough to work for something and watch non-caring people tear it up.

Centurion, I cannot be better off than I am right now. I can afford anything I want. I have businesses, houses, cars and money. So I do not need to rent any of my homes. In fact, I have friends living in some rent free. And I do not have to explain anything. It is nobody business. They are good investments, and am helping friends and they are caring for them. When taxes will take 50 to 70% of your net worth, why would you want to make more money to give the government more? I don't. I will be giving most of mine away to keep government from getting anything. My goal is they will receive 0.

Old Lady....so you were whining about what you think others should whine about to make your fantasy world be true?

We get it.....you're beyond rich with monetary value.

Acumen, you are so dumb you do not listen. I do not need the money. Why should I rent and have headaches with the property? I had rather keep it clean and just let it sit. Most people I know do not rent their properties. Why when I pay so much in federal tax, why would I want more income? I do NOT need it.

anti, you do know you're talking socialism people like old lady would rather go without themselves than pay taxes even though they would be better off.

As great as the economy is and how may jobs Job Maker Joe is creating why would he still want to stimulate the economy? Do you think all the stimulus money has played a part? Just exactly what has Joe done to create all these jobs?

As someone that has a home sitting as you described, why should I rent it when the government says the renter does not have to pay rent?

Again, you really need to get your news from something other than memes and clickbait headlines

God! old lady you are stupd. You are not going to rent your house because you don't want to pay more taxes. That is about the dumest thing I have ever heard. If you rent your house for $600 a month, your taxes will be no more then $200 a month. That leaves you with $400 a monrh more then you have now.

Just know, I was not whining about myself. I was talking about people who have homes that rent them and do deals where utilities are included in the rent amount . A friend just did this and was stuck paying utilities for over a year. He will not rent again.

I have never rented and never will. I do not need the money. I do not need to pay more taxes.

Are you talking about the honest landlords or the ones who took out a mortgage on a rental property thinking the rents would pay off both their own dwelling and the rental property but ran into a financial problem when major repairs were required on said property. Guess what happened to those repairs?

If the law required that all rental properties have to be owned by the landlord free and clear it might eliminate some of the abuses.

If it were not for landlords 1/2 of Wilkes county would be homeless or sleeping in their parents basement like you.

Don't be mad because it's not as simple as you are trying to make it out to be. You spread a lot of dog turds on this site.

"Landlord" a very old designation which had no vestige of respectability until the middle of the twentieth century.

You are stupid if you think mortgage companies will help you out.

old lady

File for bankruptcy and see how much your insurance will cost and how much interest you will pay on future purchases. But who does bankruptcy hurt? Regular people and businesses that lose money.

JustKnow

Landlords can work with their mortgage companies. You have fake outrage for an issue that isn't really there. If I had to guess, I'd say a strong majority still paid their rent, even if they did not, they still owe it, and even if they couldn't, they can work with landlord to make smaller payments (in other words as much as they can). Again, this may happen, but it's not as widespread as you think. Also, I do not agree with the CDC moratorium either, just because it is not the CDC job to do so. But don't make it seem like it's something that it isn't. There are options there always are. And don't act like bankruptcy is some sort of terrible thing, trump filed for it how many times? Bankruptcy is a misconception.
