This thread is such a good picture of the ignorance of the people in our nation. No one respects our flag. "It's just a flag"! How many men have died under the waving American flag while fighting against those who would replace our flag with a swastika flag, an Al qaeda flag, etc. Have some honor and respect for the condition and honorable disposal of our precious flag. Of course, what else can be expected...most of the people don't even respect human life but will cry over the death of a stupid lion that kills other people.

I think a way flags could be salvaged but that all depends on who's going to be echo friends like what I did with the dog stroller, instead of letting things go to waste why no recycle items more then things like cans, and plastic, why not things such as the flag itself by turning them into make stuffed bears and sending them as gifts over sea to the soldiers or any other bright future ideas. I mean one place out in Texas builds their own homes out of recyclables like tires and bottles glasses.You'd be surprised what they can be turned into and the bill is so much less along with electricity is run off on solar power and water collected from the streams and stuff. I mean how awesome is that?! They call them earth ships.I'd look into it.

Well, went down the road yesterday and seen the flags were took down. I guess someone seen the post down there!!

If the op is concerned, he/she should offer to replace the flag for them. I'm sure it would be appreciated!

I think its the law.when the flag is in bad shape.it must be taken down and or replaced.

I'm very disgrace that some places that fly torn flag and don't replace them. One place is at the Mulberry-Fairplains Fire Department. They showing disrespect for the county and the state of North Carolina!!
