The republicans in Congress have no problem calling Obama a dictator and a tyrant and all these other things, while some are still clinging to the whole birther nonsense, so I have a hard time believing the only reason they're not impeaching him is because he's a black man. He's still black when they say and do all of these other disrespectful things.

With your flat fire analogy, the ACA is like trying to put tank tracks on that car because that tire went flat.

The problem is that the ACA was never meant to fix anything. It was designed to finish breaking the healthcare system so that the public will accept a single payer system.

Fins, like I've said -- things can be done to curb the cost of insurance (though the CBO projects the cost of premiums will rise minimally next year). But, the idea that the entire thing should be scrapped with absolutely no plan in place to replace it is baffling. It's like saying if you have a flat tire, you should get rid of your car.

It amuses me when I read people whining about paying for subsidies for those too poor to afford insurance, but then don't say a word about the republicans wanting to use their money to provide subsidies and tax breaks for millionaires.

What is even more amusing is the irony that the ACA does nothing to reduce still rising health care costs from corporate owned hospitals, doctors, and the insurance companies. What it did do is place the burden of caring for the poor on the working class and increased their insurance premiums. Yep, one could consider the ACA to be subsidies for big wealthy insurance company owners and wealthy doctors.

So, explain this to me...if Obama is so bad and corrupt, why hasn't he been impeached?

I don't feel like a fool. Quite the opposite -- I'm proud of all of the positive effects of the ACA. Are there some things that can be fixed to reduce costs? Sure. But, this is a step in the right direction.
