I loke your ideas about helping local businesses especially farmers. The idea of turning chicken litter into pellets and selling nationwide on the surface sounds like a good idea. There is no excess of chicken litter as local farmers already use it as fertilizer. Chicken farmers used to gve it away but now they sell it. If you are elected please consider all aspects of any proposal. We need new thinkers in local goverment.

Excellent suggestions...your mindset on the farmers and small business owners are intelligent starting points and innnovative ideas, using our resources, as well as speaking to many of us.
Mr. Bluff, I think you are onto something.

We need to be producing goods. I am open to recruiting any manufacturing and technology companies. We also need to focus on getting the most benefit of resources that we have available. For example, what is something that Wilkes has a lot of...chicken litter. We could try to bring in a company that processes chicken litter into pellet fertilizer. The factory would provide jobs and the farmers could sale the chicken litter to the factory. The fertilizer could be sold to farmers across the nation. It is a win for everyone. As a nurse, I know that hospitals are having problems getting certain medical supplies. This is because a lot of our medical supplies come from Puerto Rico. The hurricanes affected the factories that produce medical supplies. Wilkes County is less prone to natural disasters and that makes this a good place to produce a product that is needed across the nation.
We also could do a better job of promoting local tourism. We have mountains, a lake, rivers, and state parks. We could bring outside money into the local economy if we actively promoted these areas. Tourism would also benefit local small businesses. I also want to encourage and help small business owners to expand. Now is a great time for individuals to start a new small business. The federal business tax has decreased significantly. I believe that sometimes the best thing that government can do for business growth is to stay out of the way. I would be opposed to new regulations that might make it difficult for businesses to operate in Wilkes County.
These are just a few ideas and I am always open to suggestion. There are five county commissioners and I would only have one vote. My vote will always go to what benefits the people of Wilkes County.

The way the run down trailer renting business works. Main person b6uhs the land under the trailer parks. Another acquaintance(s) buys the individual trailer and titles. These trailers are not affixed to the land and are not considered a part of the property. Thus the land owner owns the valuable land and gets a monthly payment from the trailer owners yet has no upkeep of the trailers yet makes money. Plausible deniability.
