Do you love Jesus enough to keep his word?

This is a pretty interesting discussion.

He already said yes.

Do you believe that Jesus was the Son of David? Yes or No

Was Jesus the Son of David?
Why do you find it so hard to answer.

The woman said it not Jesus. Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judah. That's doesn't make him a Jew. Wouldn't you think someone from Judah would dress like a person from Judah?

M, you continue to tell half-truths and outright lies. When you have to truncate bible verses to "make your point" is the point worth making?

Here is what John 4:9 actually says "So the Samaritan woman said to Him, "How is it that You, though You are a Jew, are asking me for a drink, though I am a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)" (NASB.) Further, verses 19 and 20 record "The woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and yet you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one must worship." (NASB) In verse 22 Jesus identifies himself as a Jew when He said, "You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know because salvation is from the Jews."

Matthew Chapter 1, verse 1 states that Jesus is the son of David.

I am curious about your post of 1:38pm today: Would you say that some of those "traditions" the Jews chose over Jesus were the "Ten Commandments?"

Bitter... was Jesus the Son of David? Yes or No

The woman said what? Jews have No dealings with Samaritan. No place did Jesus say he was a Jew..

Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water
---

(22. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews
----

Jesus came to what suppose to be his people. But they refused him. So salvation was to the Jews first because they had the Torah The Laws. The tribe of Judah was the lawgiver. Jesus took that back.

So, Jesus isn't "salvation?"

The "We" in verse 22 includes Jesus with the Jews. The woman had identified Jesus as a Jew at least twice in the proceeding verses (9 & 20.)

Bitter Salvation did come to the Jews but that doesn't mean Jesus was a Jew..

(22. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.)

Jesus gave the Jews every Chance to REPENT but they still choose traditions. Judah was the lawgiver until Jesus.

M, in response to your post of 9:29am this morning, I appreciate your opinion on what is sin and what God wanted us to know through Jesus's words. However, without a single from the Bible on which to base your opinion, it is worth less than a wam bucket of spit.

In response to your post of 10::27am this morning: I can prove that Jesus was a Jew from the Old Testament. I can also prove it from the New Testament. I don't have to "prove" it though, I take Jesus's word for it. In John Chapter 4 Jesus identified Himself as a Jew (verse 22).

Bitter Prove your statement that Jesus was a Jew. You should be able to prove from The Old Testament.

Bitter. Jesus was speaking for the Father. His Commandment are The Ten Commandments. Accept them or not . Sin has not CHANGED. Enjoy your time on Earth.

These nutty Christians should walk the walk if they talk the talk. It is as if they don't believe anything they say.

I have a hard time believing that a cosmic Jewish zombie who is his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a talking snake convinced a rib woman to eat from a magic tree.

HBsince the Bible does not provide a physical description of Jesus during His time on earth we have to rely on other observations to form an opinion. We know that Jesus was a Jew who was born in the Middle East so it seems exceedingly unlikely that He was "white." Judas Iscariot had to identify Jesus to the group of men who came to arrest Him (Matthew 26.) It seems to me that had Jesus been a white man Judas wouldn't have had point Him out so obviously as He would have stood out from the rest of the crowd.

Mfor a person who claims to both follow he words of Christ and the "Ten Commandments" you either don't know what Jesus taught, are a barer of false witness or both. Jesus never taught that "the commandments are life." If He had said anything like that you would have copied and pasted the verse.

I don't know what you think I don't "understand" about God's Covenant with the Israelites. I understand that I am not an Israelite and I know for certain that I am not God. Therefore, I am not included in that Covenant.

Of course Jesus fulfilled prophecy. In Jeremiah 31 God promises a New Covenant and in Luke 22 and in Mark 14 Jesus says that His blood is the New Covenant. What neither God the Father nor Jesus say was that we had to follow the old covenant to be part of the new covenant.

Since "Jesus had a reason for saying what He said" (God told Jesus what to say) it seems very telling that there is not one verse recording Jesus saying, "Keep the Ten Commandments.'" Did Jesus not follow God's direction or was He not told to give us that reminder?

Bitter, can I ask you a question that I've heard Michael answer but I'd be interested to hear your response. Was, as Michael and the CHRISTIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH would put it, "Jesus" a white man?
