Facebook was instigating media link that was responsible for the two thugs that were there watching the fight and then decided to shoot all the girls. Yes Facebook does hold some responsibility for the actions that we taken.

I do not like Facebook, because I feel that there are privacy issues, and just like OpenCasket said, it's really just a huge marketing tool in disguise. They track the pages you visit (even when you aren't logged in I've heard), just so they can advertise things that you would be interested to buy. Because of these things, I do not use Facebook. Everyone can make that choice as well. I do not think it should be banned, and I don't think it is at fault for this violence. Facebook was just the tool that was used to lure these people out; it could have happened using any online social service, or by telephone, email, heck, even a note on a door. If people are determined enough to hurt someone, then banning a social service isn't going to stop them. They'll just use another tool to get under each others skin and start a fight.

Politicians want to ban guns from law abiding citizens but they do not want to think or talk about taking guns away from gangs and/or inner city thugs like the ones that killed this girl.

People were killing each other over things someone said before the advent of the personal computer. I have come to the conclusion that the greatest advancement to society in the 20th century has not had a positive benefit for the individual. With the invention of the world wide web you can find anything and talk to anyone with a few key strokes. The same info was around before the computer but it took time to find it. In communication you had to write so your words were given more thought. If you talk to someone via telephone you tend to choose your words a little more careful than when using a PC. There is something about a computer that makes people feel they are protected from the ramifications of what they say. That's funny considering how everything is monitored by the government site administrators hackers and no one knows who else. It's like cell phones. I think in many ways life was better when people could not get a hold of you anytime they wanted to. People take social websites to serious.

FB doesn't need to be banned. That would be like banning phones and other communication devices. Regardless of the color people have been tracked, lured, killed themselves by postings, threats on FB and other public forms. Those people are or were in some serious need of help. Guns do not klll people. It's the stuped motherfingers pulling the trigger that kills people.
