There was a recent meeting of globets and flat earthers on a dry lakebed connected w the Salton Sea. The event was to demonstrate the curvature of the earth over short distances and unfolded as the glober perspective expected. The flat earthers continued to deny the evidence.

This is still my favorite conspiracy theory.

I was recently reading several strings of comments that responded to different photos taken in space, and it seems like there are more and more flat earthers that feel the need to decry space photos as “FAKE NEWS.” I know some of you might be thinking that most if not all these flat earthers are just tolling, but in recent years, flat earth theory has actually seen its share of converts. There was a flat earth convention in Cary/RTP less than 2 years ago.

Are there any flat earthers in the area? What finally sold you on the idea?
