These poor people are trying to escape horrors that most of us can't imagine !!

But, the "horrors" just became that way in that past two months. I mean it is simply amazing how that works, isn't it? I mean, it is like a storm, an act of Mother Nature herself where she just went mad and totally went freaking bonkers and just completely made everyone so poor and made that one country go through a time capsule of 50 years of poverty in two months and just become a country of nothing that all of the sudden hundreds of it's citizens woke up in unison like robots all at one time now mind ya and said, "LET'S GO TO AMERICA! I HEAR TRUMP WILL JUST WELCOME ANY AND ALL ILLEGAL BORDER JUMPERS WITH WIDE AND OPEN ARMS. HE IS JUST LIKE OBAMA!"

Knew it was illegal to come here ....I missed a word......

No @goddess it is nothing in comparison. The illegals knew it was illegal to come here to start off with. Yet the parents chose to come here and bring their children with them knowing what the chances were and what the laws were. Plain and simple. They think that bringing the kids are free meal tickets.

If this is like so many other things I read, as sad as it is, pointing this out is just another attempt to make Trump look bad. There are so many attempts that because of this some things that need attention may be overlooked.

All this uproar reminds me of the police shooting in Charlotte that sparked the riots. Family members said the guy was sitting in his car reading a book and was accosted for no reason. Come to find out he was a convicted felon with a stolen gun that was sitting there smoking dope. And on the video you can hear the officers telling him over twenty times to drop the gun. And his wife had also described him in a DVO a short time before as a dangerous man who was always armed. But yet a riot erupted. My point is that not to get to tore up by a news story, The first story isn't always correct. I am sure this incident with the child will be investigated by the Federal authorities' at the highest level. Save the finger pointing till you actually know what happened

This is more about morals than it is about politics!

If you don't see that, there's no hope for you.

That's like saying that the parents of Sandy Hook Elementary shouldn't have sent their children to school today...last year!

Parents should have never made that decision.

If there are 2 or 3 agents watching 163 people it's highly likely no one saw this girl. She was probably scared and hiding behind other people and if that was truly her father, she was hiding behind him. Maybe she was offered water and food and one of her fellow "immigrants" took it away from her. But you sound like you were there and know everything going on so what can I say.

And don't forget while these few agents were watching these people they were also watching out for their own safety as there has been quite a few attacks on the agents reported.

Believe what you want or in your case believe what the liberal snowflake run media wants you to believe.

I see a dog with a broken leg I react, I see a car accident I react, if I’m a trained border agent and I see a child throwing up from dehydration......shouldn’t I react?

Do I have proof that they made a conscious decision to not give her water?

Sure... she was held in custody for 8 hours without being given any food or water, and had a temperatore of 105.7:

Anyone can look at a kid with a fever of 100 and see that they're sick. It's impossible to believe that a series of border agents looked at her and had no clue that she was sick.

But as Caj's video showed, border patrol is not known for having compassion for other humans. I'm sure that they didn't know that she was going to die, but they clearly chose to let her suffer.

This is a tragic story. I understand that the father was running from a situation that he felt was dangerous for his family, and he came to the US to beg for help.

How do you know that? He may have just as well been a drug runner that kidnapped the little girl. If all he wanted was asylum, Mexico offered it.

But when he got here, too much time had gone by and his daughter died from dehydration.

Border patrol could have saved her life by giving her some water, but they made a conscious decision not to. So their choice of inaction had a part to play in her death.

Again, how do you know that? I don't think you can make the assumption that the border patrol agent was that heartless. You know many are Hispanic?

It's a modern day tragedy, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it in a movie in a few years.

If Hollywood makes the movie you can count on it to be inaccurate.

But it's not Trump's fault, he wasn't there. It wasn't the father's fault, he was doing the best he could with what he had to work with.

He tried to stop it he invasion but a stupid judge wanted to be in the headlines. Let's blame the stupid judge.

To a lesser degree it's a specific border patrol agent's fault because he saw the child was dehydrated and did nothing, but he didn't know she was going to die. So it was his fault in the same way that if someone is driving and glances down at the radio right when a pedestrian steps in front of them, and the driver hits and kills that pedestrian, it's their fault for glancing at the radio. Which is to say that it's really not his fault at all, but people do often blame themselves for not seeing the future.

Again you are making an assumption. How do you know the agents had even seen the child enough to realize what was going on? 163 invaders and only a few agents.

I hope that Trump will see this and change border policy, though, to offer at least food and water at the border while waiting for the agents to do their asylum investigations. It saddens me that people will put out food and water when they see a stray dog, but don't want to do the same for humans that are dying in front of them

You have no idea what you are talking about. When a swarm of people all converge on a small temporary border outpost that is equipped to handle 2 or 3 people at a time, you can expect trouble. The invaders knew that. The invaders and mostly the father (if that is who he is) are responsible for the death of the child.

Build the wall which the Democrats used to support until their hatred of Trump overcame them and the chances of this happening again will be significantly reduced.
