Girl who crossed border with dad died in Border Patrol custody

Antithesis,

Do you have any proof of the below statement or are you making an assumption because the girl died?

Border patrol could have saved her life by giving her some water, but they made a conscious decision not to. So their choice of inaction had a part to play in her death.

To be honest here...

This is a tragic story. I understand that the father was running from a situation that he felt was dangerous for his family, and he came to the US to beg for help.

But when he got here, too much time had gone by and his daughter died from dehydration.

Border patrol could have saved her life by giving her some water, but they made a conscious decision not to. So their choice of inaction had a part to play in her death.

It's a modern day tragedy, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it in a movie in a few years.

But it's not Trump's fault, he wasn't there. It wasn't the father's fault, he was doing the best he could with what he had to work with.

To a lesser degree it's a specific border patrol agent's fault because he saw the child was dehydrated and did nothing, but he didn't know she was going to die. So it was his fault in the same way that if someone is driving and glances down at the radio right when a pedestrian steps in front of them, and the driver hits and kills that pedestrian, it's their fault for glancing at the radio. Which is to say that it's really not his fault at all, but people do often blame themselves for not seeing the future.

I hope that Trump will see this and change border policy, though, to offer at least food and water at the border while waiting for the agents to do their asylum investigations. It saddens me that people will put out food and water when they see a stray dog, but don't want to do the same for humans that are dying in front of them

So quick to judgment. Do we know the circumstances from which they were fleeing? Was it simply a guy who wanted a better life for his daughter and got in over his head?

It's sad the child died, but it was the dad's fault as some have said. People use children all the time to prop up their false ideas and anything else they can think of. It is called "playing on a person's emotions". He should be charged with manslaughter for endangering the child's life and death.

This is a sad situation for the child. When the father started the journey of 4,000 miles walking with his 7 year old daughter, he put the child in danger. When he broke the law and took his daughter across the border in the US, he exposed her to more danger. What loving parent would expect their 7 year old daughter to walk 4,000 miles???? The blame for this death lies at the father's feet.

OBAMA CRIMES

John Solomon from Hannity last night.
(Transcript) […] “In May of 2017 there was a document identified to a small number of people in the United States government. It’s in the possession of the Defense Intelligence Agency. For eighteen months there’s been an effort to resist declassifying that document; I know that that document contains extraordinary exculpatory information about General Flynn. I don’t believe the president has ever been told about the existence of this document. One lawmaker discovered it, but was thwarted by the Defense Intelligence Agency in his efforts to disclose it. I think we should all ask for that declassification; get that out; it may enlighten the judge; it will certainly enlighten the American public.â€
