I don't understand how a working person could be against unions.

Just how many "senior leadership positions" are available in a company? Especially one that hires temp workers and pays them low wages and no benefits.

Some folks have ambitions to do well a rise to a level of senior leadership. I'm so doing they realize that they do better when the company does better.

Talk with anyone from the last generation of workers who benefited from a union. Many companies raised pay to keep the unions out.

You would have to be employed and actually working to understand this. So of course, you don't understand.

I am proud to know I was a member and then a workplace shop steward of the local chapter of the UFCW for 19 years and have a nice union-provided pension waiting for me when I retire.

For some reason there is a group of people in this country who love to vote against themselves. Not that either party is great for the little people, but one party certainly doesn't give a hoot about the regular folks.
But hey as long as we "own the libs," who cares how that would affect us! AmIright?

Given the history of how companies have treated works in the US, it seems insane for workers to be against unions. Without unions, the have-nots would be slaves to the haves.
