The US exports a lot of refined oil products. It's all about exporting refined oil products. We are the world's oil refinery. We import oil to refine.

Because that oil was never meant to be used by Canadians or Americans. That oil was going to Russia, China and Europe.

Why was Canadian oil being shipped across the US? Why didn't the Canadian oil company just build a refinery in Canada?
