Yea I remember RH1962, Chendo, he was one my favorite posters and yep he was one of the coolest and best posters on the site. That's my opinion anyway.

I still read GoWilkes every day and if I miss a day I catch up. I don't post a lot anymore;I really don't have as much energy or time and go to bed much earlier than I used to. This is up late for me now :) I still love coming here and finding out about new businesses and what is happening in Wilkes.

Why not just ignore it all together if it ruffles your feathers? If you don't read it then nobody can get upset over it, not the readers or the OP's. IMO, both sides beat the absolute **** out of the dead horses of religion and politics. I'd add neither a side is going to win the arguments and neither side is going to make a bit of difference.

People come and people go. Things are always changing no matter where you are or what you are doing. Much like all those friends one had in high school that were going to be friends forever. One sees few or any of them after a couple of years.

Work places, people come and go willingly sometimes unwillingly as change is always in motion.

Even our families change from time to time as some pass on while others are born. As new generations are born the old are forgotten.

Never met anyone on here and most likely never will but, it is still a place to vent, talk, voice opinions, debate, and so forth.

In nature change is for survival, balance, and the ever continuing journey to a state of perfection that doesn't exist, yet.

I'm not making an excuse for anyone, I'm just saying there are those Christians that are going to say that whether or not we agree with it or not but to be tolerant you gotta be able to agree to disagree and move on

acer, that's really not much of an excuse or reason to be used towards those that do believe differently than wilkes county xtians....sad but true.

Although I know what you are saying this is Wilkes county and churches preach heck fire and brimstone like it or not, that being said that's going to come up we can't decide what people should or shouldn't say but we can simply disagree and move on with what we feel is right in our own belief.

It was a cool place with Connie, Sherrie, Daddy P, Angry Kid, Garcia, Otto, Blue Ridge Guy, Satan,, Blues, and so many others. Just a lot of really good posters.

I'm sorry to say this, but Jello, we had an agreement that you would stop fighting. I know that Applekid started this fight, and you started out good, but still, you broke your promise. Based on this, I don't think I have much of a choice but to remove your username.

Applekid, since you were the one that started this fight (for apparently no reason), I have no choice but to do the same to you.

I tried to put an end to this in as civil a manner as possible, but now I think that this is the only solution.

And of course, this thread will disappear in about an hour... at least, the fighting posts will.

That's my point 1goddess we all should strive to make not on GW a better environment but this world a better environment for tolerance. Do I think it will change no but it doesn't mean it can't change or we should not strive for change and it can only begin with us as humans but that's my 2 cent worth.

acer, I must say, I totally agree with you...but...and of course there is always a big ole but around somewhere...that tolerance goes both ways. The xrist taught tolerance and I would hope that your churches also teach that tolerance...but, it does get passed over quite abit..don't ya think!
