I agree, it is unthinkable and horrible to not honor your child's spiritual beliefs. We agree!

The Buddha was a man, not a god. Not even a messenger of a god. Just a dude like you and me, so no need for worship. And by the way, he was not fat. You are thinking of Hoti, who is also not a god and does not require worship anymore than Santa Claus, which he sorta kinda is.

Bestill (view profile) Posted 8:41 pm, 10/30/2014 Why would I not love my own Christian children? Now you are being silly.
I know! Right? You know, Madalyn Murray O' Hair dissed her own for becoming a Christian...likened it to postnatal abortion. Isn't that horrible? Unthinkable? I mean, that's her own child!
Yet, the organization she founded, American Atheists, is rallying to protect the rights of those lil schoolkids in Podunk Wilkes, they don't even know, from being forced to hear the ideals of some speaker, they weren't even forced to listen to, huh?
I think they're just being pissy.

I would have no reason to forgive my child for their faith. I respect their faith and their practice of it.

~glitter and glamour~ (view profile) | How ironic, when Madelyn Murray O' Hair, founder of American Atheists, learned of her son becoming a Christian, had this to say: "One could call this a postnatal abortion on the part of a mother, I guess; I repudiate him entirely and completely for now and all times ... he is beyond human forgiveness."
Ironic this group, American Atheists, is defending these poor schoolchildren from being privy to the ideals of this speaker, yet was founded by a mother who couldn't forgive her own son.
Huh...

Jesus is Lord, now and always. Lord over every breathing creature. He will reign when all other pretenders are only dust. Long after the last memory of atheism has faded, he will still receive the worship and adoration of his redeemed. Choose well.
