I did see that apparently someone tried to drive through the protestors

There was also a threat by West Side Baptist Church to disrupt the Apple Festival a few years ago and the NWPD shut that schlit down.

The only thing to protest against our law enforcement is the **** speed traps they set at the bottom of hills.

You're probably right, but NWPD also kept the protesters safe from some who might retaliate or accidentally drive into the herd by accident, even if they were violating state law.

Ok one more time No problem with peaceful protest, The permit process is to assure the police have time to plan for public safety and possible traffic issues.

I'd wager to say no one had any bad intentions in the protest. PD even led them through town.

Kudos to NWPD for their efforts in preventing something bad from happening.

Well looks like the PD let them peacefully walk down the street.

But of course y'all are more concerned with people following protesting laws than systematic murder.

You are right Conrad. I remember when the kluklux clowns were denied a permit and their chief clown Joe Grady said they were going to march any way, They showed up and we put a stop to that on the spot. This was right after the Greensboro shoot out. They didn't march

And the state has a law prohibiting the interfering of traffic by pedestrians.

I'm still waiting on someone to tell me when and how people are supposed to protest.

MichSt66

Funny that I don't see that in the constitution. However they had a permit. But why are you so worried about the law now? Because you hate what they are doing?

CONRAD

Once again, North Wilkesboro has an ordinance outlining what is required to assemble and parade.

Connie, go easy on that pig.

When teachers protest "during the school year isn't the time." When a player knees "that's disrespectful." When people walk through the streest during the week, "do they not have jobs." When they walk through the streets, "they're blocking the roads."

When and where is the right ****g time to protest??

I wish everyone of them would have marched with guns. Would you sau **** then?

Mich,
All those scary people carrying, no shots were fired, no businesses looted, no officers attacked with bricks and rocks and no property destroyed or burned, you're right there is a huge difference in the protests.

But wait.....isn't the annual Boomer Pig-screwin' Competition tomorrow? Will the protest cause delays? And what are the social distancing protocols? Do the pigs have to wear masks?
