What we have learned here is never make meth at home and don't keep it or anything connected to it at home.

I was wondering what kind of weapon, also.

Not horrible.

The healthcare dominance almost seems like advertising or just easy filler for the article.

What type of weapon?

Brandon.

The jp only gets a part of the story. They run with the part they have. So it's little information. I have been with the Fire Dept for a while. The story's they run sometimes don't match what actually happened. Not that they deliberately done it. But some information can't be given as quick as the paper wants it. So to get there words in they push the information they have. Like who went where he went and how he went.

Again not nocking you great cast. But they have a deadline to make and they don't get all the facts. But glad they followed up.

Yeah, but still could even mention the questions were even asked. And as I mentioned, there didn't need to be harping and reassurance the officer was put on leave and being investigated. I put a lot of faith in the sheriff's department to keep Wilkes safe. Again I'll applaud JP for going back and getting those missed details. It shows maybe they do care about their base. I'll praise when something is done right, and critique when need be.

Thank you the kind words and I'll work on something tonight. a little more light hearted... or not depends on what thread tickles my fancy.

Now I'd love to get Jason on the cast. I bet he'd be a great interview. And I'll take anyone on as a guest. It's for us, about us, by us. PM me and join the fun.

I noticed that Kilby was a member of the Hillbillies bikers club.

Brandon, at the time of the shooting I'm sure not a whole lot is publicized until the investigation. Just saying as in most cases the law enforcement isn't going to give out details of who what when where and why until they have their investigation. Although I listened to your podcast and enjoyed it. Keep it up !!!! Who knows maybe J can put a podcast section here on GW as well.

Thanks gunpowder.
I focus on that because, the question was never asked, and it for me answers many more questions. The amount puts levels on what the man had to lose. Also a newspaper is for information and some people like myself would like to know the story, and not some reporter doing a drive by on it.

BUT!!!!
The Journal Patriot HAS UPDATED the article! as of 4 hours ago.
They added more about the search AND actually contacted the Wilkes Clerk for prior drug convictions and added that an autopsy will be performed on Lee Kilby.

So I will give them props for now doing their job!

Link to the article.

Right, no one ever pointed a gun at a cop before.

Obama has blood on his hands here. This is a result of the Anti-Law Enforcement culture he created

Brandon,

Nice cast, thank you. But you seem to be stuck on the amount of illegal items that were there. It does not matter how much was there or if none were found. The key to this tragic situation is one thing and one thing only, the man pointed a gun at a officer. No one in there right mind is going to do that. Lets say it was a BS warrant, would a saine person not say hay what this about, and try to get to the bottom of it. No the guy pointed a gun at a armed officer. What did he think the outcome would be ?

It is is also the amount of research I had to do to find this information, which I go to at length in the cast.

Short podcast on this story, and all the answers I have at the moment if you'll give it a listen.
