I personally know one of the individuals they caught. She knows every drug dealer in Wilkes. She could give them all kinds of information. I bet she was out the same day. I also bet the charges will be dropped or plea bargained down to almost nothing.
So since you personally know a drug user how long have you been a dealer ?

I wonder how father's children are going to grow up? They say the fruit don't fall far from the tree. This doesn't paint a very good picture. Children view of the world are influence by the views of their families.

Folks any type of discourse with this 1048 guy is a complete waste of time. I know in another thread he made some wild claims about serving In Thailand in the late sixties under a commanding officer who according to his own bio would have been in his 70's at the time. Oh yeah and lets not forget the "spy killer" stuff ..... oh yeah and the best part...... drum roll ......Aliens !!!!!! yes he brought Aliens into it. So in summary. what you're dealing with here is an Alien hunting, Secret Army unit, Double naught spy. This will probably be removed, but I just want to let Jason or anyone else know, I'm simply repeating his own words and warning others of the futility of attempting any form of communication. It is pointless and a complete waste of your time. Also you get these nice little PM's if you make him too angry. The type where he "warns" you that you're gonna be banned if you continue to point out his, we'll use "stretching of the truth" .

If I was the police I would investigate who owns those crack houses and rents them. That might lead to some source of legal drugs made illegal. Just a month or so ago the police charged about 75 people with having illegal drugs. Wasn't even one of them willing to tell where they got the drugs in order to get a lighter sentence? I wonder if the police even asked them. I wonder if the DA even asked them before giving them a plea bargain?

I don't even get this argument. The thread is pretty obvious, I think. The block is very close to the Police Dept, and everybody knows its reputation. The point is that the police aren't doing anything to clean up their own back yard.
But I also think that might be a little naive. You can't arrest someone just because everybody knows it, you have to have some sort of proof.
They COULD set up a sting operation and send in someone that's wired to buy drugs, but it would be a small amount and we all know the DA would let them off. So there's really no point in going after the small dealers.

Is it the money or are they just to lazy to do their job? My guess is the money. They have plenty of time to watch to see if anyone runs their stop signs.

The block is a drug infested area because the police allows it to be that way. If it is a lack of evidence the police could just set out front of the police station in a chair and observe.
So the whole block is drug infested and wilkesboro just lets drug deals go down while they are watching it happen? Or is wilkesboro PD Involved ?
