NWS has updated Wilkes......snow/rain mix now in the log lead forecast! what fun!
Tuesday Night Rain likely before 5am, then rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 35. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Wednesday Snow likely, possibly mixed with rain before noon, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 42. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

In 60 I was 8 years old. I remember my dad and uncle taking all the kids for a ride on Sunday. We drove over to Alleghany a week after it quit snowing and the snow was still over the fence posts. Some of the drifts were higher than some apple trees.
