4th Annual Dark Mountain Powwow & Indian Festival

The festivities will celebrate the culture and traditions of the region�s native past with foods, flint knapping (the shaping of tools and arrowheads), storytelling, native flute playing, vendors, and dances throughout the entire weekend.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted and greatly appreciated. All drums are also welcomed.

Hosts for the event also include the Medicine Horse Singers, Head Man Matt Steed, Head Lady, Becky Metcalf and Arena Director Bruce Goodheart.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawns chairs. Guests should also keep in mind that alcohol and drugs are not permitted at the festival grounds. Pets must be friendly, and guests should be prepared to clean up after them during the festivities.

The festival is being hosted by the Red Carpet Inn

Hours

10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Grand Entry will be from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday
