African American Genealogy Book Talk and Fair

Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 5:30pm The Wilkes County Public Library along with the Wilkes County Genealogical Society will host Timothy N. Pinnick. Tim is an accomplished researcher, popular national speaker, and author of the book, “Finding and Using African American Newspapers”. In 2016 he launched an African American book business, History and Genealogy Spotlight, and has logged thousands of miles at libraries and conference events in many states. He will talk about African American Genealogy and the Essential Books for African American Genealogical Research. He will have books to purchase that he believes every researcher and library/society supporting this type of research should endeavor to obtain. Please come and learn more about African American genealogy research. Light refreshments will be provided.
