March 12, 2016 at 2:00pm Author Stephanie L. Tyson, owner of the restaurant, Sweet Potatoes in Winston Salem, NC, will be at the Wilkes County public library. She will present her new book Soul Food Odyssey. Soul Food Odyssey takes readers along Stephanie�s journey back to find the food her grandmother called �sumntaeat�. The recipes she shares include how to cook various parts of the pig, from the router to the tooter; other meat dishes and what Stephanie calls stone soul sides. Along with the recipes come Stephanie�s biting wit as well as her deep appreciation of the food she shares with us in her books and at her restaurant. She will bring samples of a recipe that is in the book and is served at her restaurant.
