Local Author April Conley will be at the library on August 6, 2015 at 5:30pm to talk about the first book of her Adult fiction, Paranormal romance, Edgewood series; The Edgewood Sisters. April Conley Burke is a native of Wilkes County. She is the daughter of Allen and Betty Conley. She graduated with honors from West Wilkes High School, class of 2006. She earned her degree in Children's Literature from the Institute of Children's Literature in Connecticut but, she leans toward Young Adult and Adult writing. April currently works in the Human Resources department with Lowe's Companies. She is a mother and an author. She grew up hiking the mountains and swimming in creeks. In the book, The Edgewood Sisters; you meet the four mysterious sisters, Thorne, Sage, Ivy and Willow. This series brought out April's passions for writing and witches. The second book of the series is entitled, The Edgewood Trials. Both of these books are in kindle format and are available for purchase. Other format will be coming soon. The 4-book series was accepted by Etopia Press in 2014. Please come out and support a young author from our county.
