Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 5:30pm Local Author Renee Canter Johnson will be at the Wilkes County Public Library for a book signing in which she will share her romance, mystery, and adventure novel, Acquisition. Acquisition was released on November 7, 2014. It is the story of a woman faced with the choice of doing the right thing or following orders. Temptations mount, secrets are revealed, and nothing turns out the way she plans.

Johnson has deep roots in Wilkes. Her parents were W.G. and Blanche Canter of Wilkesboro. She attended West Wilkes High School, Wilkes Community College, and married Tony Johnson of the Little Brushy Mountain community where she currently lives. Johnson also works at the North Wilkesboro Post Office, though writing has been her passion since childhood.
