Artist and domestic violence survivor Michelle Johnson Major will speak at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8th in the Mayes Pit/Cohn Auditorium at Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro. In 2008, Michelle Major's husband attacked her. Before strangling her unconscious, he took a butcher knife to ninety four of her paintings, destroying twelve years of artistic work.
