Blue Ridge Opportunity Commission, Inc. is a non-profit crisis intervention agency assisting low-income residents in Wilkes, Ashe and Alleghany Counties. BROC assists clients in preventing disconnection of electric service, eviction, emergency prescription assistance and emergency food. BROC also has a Christmas for Kids program that provided clothing and toys for over 1,200 children in Wilkes County last year.

All funds used to assist clients is raised from the community through fund raisers like �Riding for a Reason�. Your participation in this fund raiser will help us to continue providing assistance for our clients in the coming year.

The event will include live music, concessions, vendors and family fun. There will be a 50/50 raffle, contests and door prizes. The event is scheduled to last until 7 pm.
