Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Spay Neuter Assistance Program is subsidized by donations to the ALL VOLUNTEER Humane Society of Wilkes (HSOW) to help person(s) with annual incomes below $35,000 to get their pets spayed/neutered at a significantly lower cost.

Because the program is INCOME RELATED we request that EVERYONE signing up for assistance to please bring with them some type of PROOF OF INCOME: W-2; Check Stub showing Year to Date earning; Last year taxes; Social Security Award Letter; Bank Statement; ETC.

If you receive either FOOD STAMPS or MEDICAID you only need to bring your EBT or MEDICAID CARD with you as proof of income to automatically qualify for assistance.

COST TO SPAY/NEUTER DOG OR CAT:

ANNUAL INCOME at or below $15,000 - $25

ANNUAL INCOME above $15,000 up to $35,000 - $35

Be prepared to pay this amount at time of sign up (cash or check) and you will be issued a voucher to pay for the surgery at participating vet offices.

NOTICE: ALL PETS are REQUIRED BY LAW to have a current RABIES VACCINATION. If your pet is NOT up to date there will be an additional cost to be paid AT VET OFFICE on the day of surgery.
