NOTE: Beginning in June 2015 there will be NO sign ups for SNAP in Ronda on the THIRD WED. of the month. Will continue to do them on the FIRST WED. of every month only.
Come sign up for assistance in getting your pet spayed or neutered. In order to be eligible for assistance you must have annual earnings not to exceed $35,000. We ask that you bring with you some type of PROOF OF INCOME so that we may verify your eligibility. We are very flexible and will accept anything from Last Year Taxes, Bank Statement, Check Sub with YTD earnings, W-2, etc. etc. IMPORTANT: If you receive either FOOD STAMPS or MEDICAID your EBT Card or Medicaid Card will automatically qualify you and you do NOT need to bring any other proof of income.
Annual income 15K or less OR Food Stamps/Medicaid - $25 for dog or cat. Annual income from 15K to 35K - $35 for dog or cat. (FOR EXAMPLE: You made 25K last year. To spay or neuter dog or cat the total would be $35. However, if a person made 25K last year, but also receives Food Stamps or Medicaid, the the total would be only $25 to spay or neuter a dog or cat.)
You must be able to pay full amount at time of sign up. Then we will issue you a voucher which is accepted by all 3 vets in Wilkes County and one vet in Surry County. You will then call the vet of your choice and make an appointment and take the voucher with you to pay for the surgery.
